Abstract: The Three-toed woodpecker Picoides tridactylus inhabits Podlasie, the Carpathians and the Sudetes in Poland, where it is mainly associated with spruce forests. In winter and spring 2025, the occurrence of this species was recorded in a spruce-pine bog forest in the Dulów Forest near Kraków and in a mixed coniferous forest in Roztocze National Park. These observations are the first records of the species in the Silesia-Kraków and Lublin-Lviv Uplands.
